The position will work closely with engineering staff, regional/plant operations & maintenance management as well as EHS&T staff to drive operational excellence and sound capital planning via asset management and CMMS program implementation throughout the Facilities Division.
Essential Functions:
Develop an asset management strategy and program aligned with Facilities Division operations and goals.
Develop and implement processes to align people, data and financial analysis to provide sound decision making in support of short- and long-term capital planning.
Including 5-, 10- & 15-year large capital repair/replacement planning.
Support Facilities management in developing, maintaining and monitoring a schedule & costs on all major maintenance/construction projects and initiate corrective action when actual progress deviates from plan.
Provide organization training and development to local operations and maintenance staff.
Change management via organizational development of procedures/processes to support program success.
Asset Inventory and condition assessment to provide clear understanding of estimated remaining life for the major mechanical systems/components with an integrity program utilizing consistent guidelines.
Develop and ensure predictive management systems are functioning in accordance with Operational Excellence Standards Prepares reports, charts, and diagrams to disclose results and highlight areas for further investigation.
Performs follow-up investigation to determine failure mode analysis and product design flaws.
COMPETENCIES:
Excellent written and communication skills Strong problem resolution and demonstrated execution of deliverables.
RCA tools - Ishikawa, Taproot, Apollo, failure mode analysis Lean tools and metrics - OEE, MTBF, Pareto, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of Synagro management, from mechanical labor through to CEO/CFO.
Excellent technical writing ability Ability to keep detailed records and provide informative summary reporting on initiatives.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering - preferably mechanical or related technical discipline.

years of experience in the Reliability Engineering field, with strong emphasis on preventive maintenance program development in support of best-in-class asset management.
Excellent knowledge of industrial engineering and process operations.
