Release Engineer to work on development projects, building, deploying and supporting new and existing software systems, for our fast growing organization. We are looking for a person with strong, technical skills and experience with web-based applications and web services, especially using Microsoft .NET, with relational data bases including Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server, and with Windows and IIS. Candidates with background as Release Engineers, software and/or database developers, devop engineers, or data base administrators will be considered. This individual selected will be responsible for build and release of software and supporting DB Objects, version control systems, and setup and troubleshooting on web and other servers.
Contribute to building and supporting our next generation enterprise solutions. Our internal applications are used by our 1,100
employees to manage our business and drive our success, and we are constantly improving our customer-facing web applications and automated business-to-business communications.
Work with our Development Team and Business Analysts as we leverage Microsoft Team Foundation Server to track requirements, code changes, and releases.
Assist in setting up new servers for Production, UAT, and other test environments and install, manage, and troubleshoot applications and databases on them.
Required
Qualifications:
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Experience with application development and/or deployment on Microsoft .NET platform
Experience with relational DBMS technologies, ideally on Oracle and/or Microsoft platform
Experience with version control systems, ideally Microsoft Team Foundation Server; familiarity with branching methodologies
Knowledge of Web Technologies such as HTML, JavaScript, and web service concepts
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem solving abilities
Preferred
Qualifications:
Knowledge and experience with version control systems applied to data base objects
Experience with comparison tools used between Oracle and/or Microsoft data base instances
Strong experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server, especially reporting from it
Knowledge and experience with build automation and continuous integration
Willingness to work outside normal business hours for off-hours releases and support
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
